College GameDay Passes On Pitt/Clemson, Headed Out West

Executives at ESPN have passed on coming to Pittsburgh and instead will take their popular Saturday morning College GameDay show out West.

It was announced Sunday morning, College Gameday will originate this Saturday morning from California prior to the matchup between UCLA and Oregon.

The Oregon Ducks enter this game with a record of 5-1 and ranked in the Top 10. The ratings for this week haven’t been released yet but last week, the Ducks were ranked No. 9. Chip Kelly, former head coach at Oregon, is having his best season at UCLA as they currently have a record of 5-2.

Some thought that going live prior to the Pitt/Clemson game was a consideration considering the national brand of Clemson and with Pitt being one of the top teams in the ACC, led by quarterback Kenny Pickett.

It was announced that the Pitt/Clemson game will be televised at 3:30 PM on ESPN.

This shouldn’t be news. They picked a much better matchup with much better scenery.
