Decision Made: Pitt vs. Clemson To Be Televised on ESPN

Published

The Pitt Panthers will have another opportunity this weekend to showcase their program in front of a national audience.

It was announced late Saturday night that the Panthers game this Saturday against Clemson will be televised on ESPN. Kickoff from Heinz Field will take place at 3:30 PM.

Pitt will enter the game with an overall record of 5-1 and 2-0 in the ACC Coastal Division, while Clemson sits with a 4-2 record and 3-1 in the ACC Atlantic Division. Clemson currently trails both Wake Forest (4-0) and NC State (2-0).

Clemson is coming off a 17-14 win over Syracuse and is being led by their fast, talented defense. Offensively, they are struggling as they’ve only scored 20+ points twice this season (South Carolina State and NC State).

Pitt/Clemson Offensive Comparisons:
Total Yards Per Game:   Pitt 540 yards,    Clemson 334 yards
Passing Yards Per Game:  Pitt 358 yards,  Clemson 180 yards
Rushing Yards Per Game:   Pitt 172 yards,   Clemson 142 yards
Points Per Game:    Pitt 48.3,   Clemson 20.5

Last season in Death Valley, Clemson defeated Pitt, 52-17.

Pitt needs to wear their normal Home Blue and Yellow uniforms for this game. Seems every time they are on national television they bring out a 3rd jersey option. The home uniforms are the best!
