Following his units most impressive outing of the season, a Pitt defensive player receives some national recognition.
Junior safety Erick Hallett II was named on Monday the ACC Defensive Back of the Week, following his performance against Virginia Tech.
Hallett finished the game with four tackles, two pass breakups and an important second quarter interception, that led to Pitt’s second touchdown of the game.
In his first year as a starter, the Texas native is Pitt’s third leading tackler with 26 and has a team-high 4 pass breakups.
