The votes are in.
The Horizon League announced Tuesday the conference’s annual preseason men’s basketball poll, with Robert Morris near the bottom to begin its sophomore season in the league.
The Colonials placed 10th in the Horizon League poll voted on by conference head coaches, communication professionals, and select members of the media.
Robert Morris will begin its second year in the conference after transitioning from the NEC in June 2020.
Defending Horizon League Tournament champion Cleveland State earned the top spot with 30 first-place votes, followed by Wright State, Northern Kentucky, Milwaukee, and Detroit Mercy rounding out the top five.
RMU returns two starters—Kam Farris and Kahliel Spear—and welcomes nine newcomers to the program for the 2021-22 season.
Robert Morris begins the season in Orlando, Florida facing Central Florida on November 10 at a time yet to be announced.
