Teams Continue to Pursue Pitt 2022 3-Star Wide Receiver Commit Camden Brown

More and more teams are starting to realize what the Pitt football staff realized a while ago, and that is Camden Brown is a really talented football player.

The 3-star wide receiver is having a tremendous senior season for St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and despite being committed to Pitt, is drawing a lot of outside interest.

Brown (6-foot-3, 190 pounds) committed to the Panthers back in June following his official visit and has developed a tight relationship with wide receivers coach Brennan Marion.

However, more and more teams continue to try and flip Brown, the latest being a team from Florida. After head coach Mike Norvell was in attendance for his game this past Friday night, Florida State extended Brown on offer on Tuesday evening. Brown received the offer from Seminoles wide receivers coach Ron Dugans.

Florida State isn’t the only team showing interest in Brown as he’s recently picked up offers from Colorado and West Virginia.

Pittsburgh Sports Now spoke with Brown last week after receiving the offer from West Virginia and he stated nothing has changed with his commitment level to Pitt.

“I’m 100% committed.”

One of the things that still has Brown excited about Pitt is their high-powered offense that has been carving up opposing defenses this 2021 season. Brennan Marion will be losing a few receivers to graduation following the season and Brown looks forward to making an early impression like Jordan Addison did in 2020.

“I’m really high on their coaching staff and especially the guy that’s going to be coaching me, Coach Marion,” said Brown. “He had some things what highly stuck with me and has had me thinking like dang, I like this school because of that. He told me that he’s so proud of me. It’s still H2P! He’s really shown me that he wants what’s best for me.”

The Pitt coaching staff will have the opportunity to strength their relationship with Brown this weekend as he plans on attending the game on Saturday vs. Clemson.

If it were UF or Miami, I’d be more worried. FSU isn’t the threat they once were…
