It seems like every week becomes the ‘most important game’ for Pitt, and this week against North Carolina, on a short week no less, is no different.
Pitt opens as a five-point favorite over a UNC squad that ended the perfect season in the works by then-No. 9 Wake Forest on Saturday in a 58-55 win. The over/under is set at an explosive 73.5 points, a matchup between the No. 1 and No. 11 scoring offenses in the country.
DraftKings gives Pitt a six-point spread, favoring Pitt in a battle of top-ranked offenses. A bet for either team against the spread holds -110 odds. The over/under is set at 75 points, with the over and under set at -110 odds. A money line bet for Pitt holds -235 odds while the same bet for UNC holds +190 odds.
FanDuel hasn’t released betting odds for the contest, but you can expect roughly the same odds for the contest.
North Carolina is 10-4 all-time against Pitt, but the Panthers are riding a one-game win streak against the Tar Heels — a 34-27 win in 2020. UNC had won six straight games previously.
North Carolina is 4-5 against the spread this season, failing to cover against Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech before covering in Saturday’s upset win over Wake Forest. Pitt is 7-2 against the spread this season, only failing to cover in losses to Western Michigan and Miami this season.
Is there a point spread for Pitt vs the Charlotte Boys yet? Can’t wait to hear the Carolina accent of the ref on the PA system as he announces those phantom penalties on Pitt.
Hey ACC, change my mind!
The All Carolina Cops love to ruin Pitt. They were pulling flags out their buts against WF you know its gonna happen. Plus the Howell Pickett war. UNC will have to win.
Called it here, They’ll give UNC the win On a Penalty.
Big Pitt fan here living in Syracuse. My wife and I will be in Pittsburgh Thanksgiving weekend. That is the weekend of the Pitt/SU game being played here in Syracuse. We’d like to go out Saturday in Pittsburgh to watch the game. Can anyone give me suggestions on where to go to watch it? Draft beer and bar food are fine with us. Oh…and she will be wearing her SU sweatshirt, so I don’t want a place I’ll end up in a fight. lol
Lot 17 in Bloomfield! Ask for Dave. He is the owner
Good Luck finding somewhere that has ACC network in Pittsburgh.
Thank you. Didn’t know that. I assumed the game would be on there locally.
