Pitt 2022 3-Star WR Commitment Cam Brown Visiting Another ACC School This Weekend

Published

One of the most talented players in Pitt football’s Class of 2022 will making a visit to another school this coming weekend.

3-star wide receiver Camden Brown (St. Thomas Aquinas, Fort Lauderdale, Florida) tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he will be making an official visit this weekend to Florida State as they’ll be hosting Miami, Florida. Brown received an offer from Florida State on October 19, after they came to watch one of his games.

In the last month, Brown has also received offers from South Carolina, Colorado and West Virginia. Prior to committing to Pitt in June, Brown held offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Syracuse and Virginia.

Does Pitt have a reason to be concerned about this talented playmaker checking out one of his in-state schools? According to Brown no, he describes this visit to PSN as “nothing major.”

When we asked Brown if this visit could potentially impact his decision with Pitt, he replied, “Pitt never gave up on me, why would I give up on them.”

Brown also tells PSN that he talks with a member of the Pitt staff “twice a week” and that he talks with “Coach Marion like almost everyday.”

Despite his large 6’3″, 195 pound frame, Brown has the ability to vertically get down the field and run by a defensive back but also go up and get the ball. He has a similar game to current Pitt wide receiver Taysir Mack but is bigger and potentially more dynamic. Adding him to this group of wide receivers would be big for Pitt’s future offense.

That may be true, but he’s a high school kid, so I can understand how he might want to enjoy the process.
