PITTSBURGH — On Tuesday night, Pitt will take on UNC Wilmington at the Petersen Events Center.

Pittsburgh Sports Now is in the building and will be updating the live blog throughout the game.

FINAL: Pitt 59 UNCW 51

2H: 4:00: Pitt 55, UNCW 50

Both teams are limping towards the finish line.

Pitt has made one of its last ten field goals, while UNCW has made one of its last eight.

2H: 10:59: Pitt 47, UNCW 42

Okauru cuts the Pitt lead to five. Chris Payton follows it up with a turnover.

2H: 11:53: Pitt 47, UNCW 39

Pitt just cannot pull away. Right now the Panthers are going with a lineup that lacks scorers: Ezeakudo, Burton, Jeffress, Payton, Collier. Let’s see who takes control on offense.

Hugley, Oladapo, and Odukale each with 9 points.

2H: 16:18: Pitt 40, UNCW 30

Timeout Jeff Capel after a little run by the Seahawks and more sloppy offense by Pitt. The Panthers are up to 12 turnovers and are not playing good enough defense to keep the lead large at the moment.

2H: 17:08: Pitt 38, UNCW 26

Pitt is letting UNCW stick around with turnovers and rough defense. Jeffress turns it over again, and Shykeim Phillips is up to 7 points for the Seahawks.

HALFTIME: Pitt 34 UNCW 21

Pitt shot the ball well in the first half, going 14 of 27 from the field (52%) and hitting 1 of 3 three-point attempts. Turned the ball over nine times, which still is not really a good number. Ezeakudo and Jeffress had a few turnovers that seemed easily avoidable, but other than that the Panthers held onto the ball much better than they did against West Virginia.

Dan Oladapo has still not missed a field goal this year, as he is 2 for 2 at the half. Oladapo, Hugley, and Odukale all are leading the way with 7 points apiece. Burton is right behind them with 5 points in his first half in a Pitt uniform.

Defensively, Pitt is holding UNCW to 28% shooting from the field and just 11% from three-point range. Trazarien White is leading them with 6 at the break.

1H: 3:32: Pitt 30, UNCW 17

Hugley is leading the way with 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Odukale taking better care of the ball (0 turnovers) and has 5 points and 4 rebounds himself. Burton hit a smooth, shot clock-beating fadeaway jumper and is looking more and more comfortable as time goes on in this one

1H: 7:11: Pitt 25, UNCW 13

Pitt individual stats Update:

Odukale: 5 points, 3 rebounds

Oladapo 4 points, 1 rebound

Hugley 5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists

Santos 4 points, 2 rebounds

Jeffress 4 points, 3 rebounds

Burton: 3 points, 1 rebound

Team stats:

Fg: 10-17 (58.8%)

1H: 9:19: Pitt 19, UNCW 13

Mo Gueye checks in for the first time. Pitt is rolling with Femi Odukale, Jamarius Burton, Nate Santos, Mo Gueye, and John Hugley, in what looks like its most talented lineup.

Will Jeffress was called for a charging foul on the offensive end. He just does not look very confident when he attacks.

1H: 10:35: Pitt 19, UNCW 10

Mo Gueye has not checked in for Pitt yet in this one. Something to keep an eye out for.

1H: 12:39 Pitt 17 UNCW 6

John Hugley has the play of the game thus far, with a one-handed tip-in while falling away from the basket and having a defender all over him. Ezeakudo missed a pair of free throws. Burton missed his first jumper in a Pitt uniform, but then hit a corner three for his first bucket at Pitt off a nice look from Dan Oladapo.

1H: 15:58: Pitt 10, UNCW 4

Jamarius Burton checks in for Pitt.

1H: 15:58: Pitt 8 UNCW 4

Pitt looks confident on offense. Jeffress has hit two smooth mid-range pull-ups, leads the team with four. Santos and Odukale each threw down dunks. UNCW does not look like it can shoot it well from deep.

1H: 19:22: Pitt 2, UNCW 0

Dan Oladapo wins the tip, and Will Jeffress kicks things off with a nice mid-range jumper.
