Postgame Reaction after Pitt’s Hard-Fought Victory Over Towson

Published

on

PITTSBURGH — On Friday night, Jeff Capel’s Pitt Panthers took home their second win of the season, defeating Towson by a score of 63-59.

Pitt, led by Nate Santos, Dan Oladapo, and Jamarius Burton, came from behind in the second half and came away with the win in the final minutes.

Once Capel noticed that John Hugley was not playing to his standards in the first half, Capel benched Hugley for the last 18 minutes of the game. In his place, Noah Collier came in and provided a huge spark for the Panthers, scoring 7 late points and grabbing a rebound.

Seeing some progress. Team is playing together. New players are contributing I would like to see more movement on offense and improved foul shooting. Keep working, the ACC season is soon. H2P!
