PITTSBURGH — Pitt’s regular season finale against Syracuse will be a night game.
The Panthers and Orange will meet at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Nov. 27 and the game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network.
The announcement of the game time and television information was delayed until after the games played on Saturday by ESPN.
With Pitt clinching the ACC Coastal Division and the Atlantic Division still up for grabs with Wake Forest’s loss, the Panthers and Orange were relegated to the second-best slot available.
While Pitt has already clinched the Coastal and the Orange have long been out of the running in the Atlantic, the game will still have significant meaning for the former Big East rivals.
Pitt has a chance to win its 10th game in a season for the first time since 2009 and first time in the regular season since 1981. Pitt has only ever won 10 or more games six times in the 131-year history of the program.
The Orange, meanwhile, have a chance to secure bowl eligibility for the first time since 2018 and just the second time under Dino Babers, who is in his sixth season.
Good thing this game doesn’t count. Nobody will be watching…
