Watch: Duquesne Bounces Back With Win

The Duquesne Women’s Basketball Team earned its second victory of the season, a 58-47 triumph over Akron Tuesday evening at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

Duquesne was able to lock down as a team holding Akron to a 21.4% field goal percentage in the fourth quarter and carried that momentum into the fourth quarter, using a decisive 25-6 run.

Additionally, Duquesne assisted on 15 of 21 made baskets, while Laia Sole had the best game of her young season with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting. Teammate Amaya Hamilton added 12 points and five rebounds, while also holding Jordyn Dawson, Akron’s leading scorer, to four points on 1-of-11 shooting.
