Football Title Pitt’s Sixth Overall ACC Championship

Published

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Saturday night, Pitt defeated Wake Forest, bringing home its first ever ACC Championship in football and its sixth ever as an athletic department.

Pitt’s athletic department has now won a conference championship in at least one sport in each of the past five years, now including 2021.

The school’s first championship victory came in 2014, when the wrestling program took home a share of the dual-meet championship.

Next came women’s volleyball, who took home three consecutive ACC championships from 2017-19. Then came men’s soccer, which won the ACC regular season title in 2020.

Legendary season from picket.
The fact that he found a way to win the last 4 games without Mack, Barden, and Stovall makes it all the more impressive. I would consider those guys 3 of his top 5 receivers and it was noticeable without them but it couldn’t stop picketts determination.
Fun season.
I’ll be saying but they should have beat Miami for a long time. What could have been.
