On Wednesday night, former Pitt star Justin Champagnie came about as close as one can get to a game-winning shot in basketball.
Champagnie, with the Raptors down 110-109 to the Oklahoma City Thunder, crashed the boards after a blocked Fred Van-Vleet shot attempt, tipped the ball that was up in the air towards the hoop, and drained it.
Champagnie celebrated as if the shot had won the Raptors the game. However, after review, the shot was ruled no good as the buzzer had already gone off.
In the game, Champagnie went 2 for 2 from the field, scoring five points in 12 minutes off the bench.
Good to see Justin playing with The NBA.
