The Pitt duo of Kenny Pickett and Jordan Addison fittingly were both given the honor of being named First Team Walter Camp All-Americans.
Pickett becomes just the third Pitt quarterback to win first team All-American honors (Dan Marino in 1981 and Matt Cavanaugh in 1977), while Addison becomes the first Panther wide receiver to win this honor since Larry Fitzgerald in 2003.
The Walter Camp All-American Team is selected by the 130 Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors. The Walter Camp All-American Team is college football’s oldest All-American team, going back to 1889.
Pickett, who already won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, threw for 4,319 yards and 47 touchdowns (42 passing and 5 rushing). Pickett’s passing yards, passing touchdowns, completions and total yards in 2021 are all new Pitt season records. Pickett also set a new ACC record for touchdown passes, breaking the previous record set by Clemson’s Deshaun Watson in 2016.
Addison, who earlier tonight won the Biletnikoff Award, has caught 93 passes for 1,479 yards and 17 touchdowns (tops in the country).
