For the second consecutive day, Pitt loses a player to the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Redshirt freshman Hunter Sellers has decided to leave Pitt and transfer to another football program. Sellers arrived at Pitt from Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Georgia and was a member of Pitt’s Class of 2020.
Before committing to the Panthers, Sellers was a 3-star recruit with offers from Boston College, Duke, Indiana, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Purdue, Central Florida and Wisconsin.
Sellers did not get onto the field in his two years with Pitt.
With this latest transfer, Pitt currently stands at 87 scholarships for 2022, pending super senior decisions. That number is two over the NCAA limit of 85.
hope he lands somewhere where he can play
I personally don’t care. He is no longer a Panther.
Keep trimming the fat!
best wishes to the young man.
wake me up when Beville, Yellen or Yarnell enter the portal.
Another expected entrance considering the depth at defensive back.
