With the finality of a season comes roster turnover and that’s happening with Pitt.

Earlier today, running back Todd Sibley announced his intentions to transfer and now wide receiver Shocky Jacques-Louis has chosen the same path.

The senior from Fort Myers, Florida is transferring and will use his final season of eligibility to play at another program. Jacques-Louis was a member of Pitt’s Class of 2018 and selected Rob Harley and the Panthers over other offers from Tennessee, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, Oregon and South Carolina.

Jacques-Louis best season at Pitt came in 2019 when he recorded 23 receptions for 348 yards and two touchdowns. For his career, he totaled 83 catches for 1,010 yards and three touchdowns.

Looking at the wide receiver depth that Pitt is returning next season with Jordan Addison, Jared Wayne, Jaylon Barden, Jaden Bradley, Myles Alston and incoming freshman Addison Copeland and Che Nwabuko, this decision by Jacques-Louis isn’t surprising.

With this news, Pitt’s current scholarship total sits at 88, which is three over the NCAA limit of 85.

A pretty disappointing pitt career considering the offer sheet he had out of high school.
The play last night where all he had to do was fall forward to get the first down and instead he stood up and waited to get knocked backwards just about sums up his pitt career.

Paul McGrath, absolutely. He seemed to have the physical tools, but his mental game was often lacking. If he works on that at his next location, he has an excellent future.

He will not be missed with all the drops, no blocking and lack of focus.

Get him a sports psychologist. Has all the physical tools. Wish him the best.
