Wow, too bad he couldn’t play like Pickett. I mean Beville did get a ton of 1st team reps this year and all that game experience. This loss is on the coaching staff and not on a 3rd string QB. Beville requires a different game plan than Pickett and Patti. He doesn’t have the mobility that they do. He does possess a rocket arm and his accuracy doesn’t look too bad either. Excellent insight. The O-line was getting manhandled by the Michigan St. D-line most of the 2nd half. That was the difference in this game since all Pitt had to do in the 4th was to drive the ball a little further down the filed 2 or 3 times without even having to score any more points. The ‘3 and outs’ killed them and fatigued the Defense thus multiplying opportunities for the Mich St. offense.
