Dan Fisher has added a talented player with experience to his 2022 roster.

The Pitt volleyball program announced on Thursday morning the addition of transfer Julianna Dalton from Washington State. The 6-foot-5 outside hitter was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team, after finishing the shortened 2020 season with 151 kills. That number also had her ranked No. 25 overall in the Pac-12. For the season, Dalton averaged 2.44 kills and 0.41 blocks per frame and totaled 33 digs and 45.0 blocks.

Fisher released this statement on the latest addition to his program.

“Julianna is a big time get. She has played at a high level in club and college and knows how to work hard. We are excited to have her train this spring, getting a head start on the 2022 season. We know she brings a physical presence at the net but is also committed to being an all-around player. We expect Julianna to have a big impact on our program,” said Fisher.

Dalton is from Chaparral High School in Parker, Colorado and before signing with Washington State, she was named the 2019-20 Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year.

The Pitt volleyball program just completed their most successful season in program history, advancing to the Final Four, before losing to Nebraska.
