While at Pitt, Brennan Marion developed a strong relationship with Laurel Highlands star Rodney Gallagher.
Marion has every intention of strengthening that relationship now that he’s joined the Texas Longhorns program.
Today, Gallagher’s latest Power Five offer came from Marion and Texas. Gallagher is a consensus 4-star recruit from all recruiting services and ranked as one of the Top 100 juniors in the country.
”This is a huge offer for me,” Gallagher tells PSN. “Texas is a legendary college program and I’ve always watched them. He (Coach Marion) was real cool about it. He was just asking me how I’m doing and to come join him and be great. He said that they’re very interested in me. Coach Marion is a first-class guy. He wants you to be great and wants to get you to play at the next level.”
With the dead period ending next week (January 14), PSN asked Gallagher if he has visits lined up that he will make in the near future?
“I have multiple but I’m taking it day by day and will hopefully, I can figure out a plan soon.”
With Texas joining the mix, Gallagher also holds offers from Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia, Arizona State, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ole Miss, NC State, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
I liked Marion, now I’m getting Todd graham vibes after all his jumping around.
Marion won’t be around too see his first year if he goes south.
“Coach Marion is a first-class guy”…he may have some good qualities, but from some of the stuff I’ve read, classy ain’t one of them.
Gallagher was not coming to Pitt even if Marion stayed here – just my gut feeling – he wants a big school.
My gut feeling tells me that you have no idea what Gallagher is going to do.
I dont have a clue – thats why I said gut feeling Einstein.
