A second Pitt signee from the class of 2022 has been elevated from a three-star to a four-star commit today.
Che Nwabuko, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound wide receiver from Manor, Texas, now holds a four-star rating on 247Sports, ranked as the 47th wide receiver and 49th recruit from Texas in the class.

Nwabuko signed to Pitt over the summer, after originally committing over the summer, and turned down offers from Marshall, Air Force, Kansas, Liberty, Louisiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Old Dominion, Purdue, Texas State, UAB and UTSA.
Along with offensive tackle Ryan Baer and defensive linemen Samuel Okunlola and Jimmy Scott, Nwabuko is Pitt’s fourth four-star of its smaller 2022 class.
Nwabuko spoke with Pittsburgh Sports Now in January, detailing his excitement in making it out to Pitt after the conclusion of his senior track season. The speedy wide receiver finished fourth in the Texas state championships in the 100-meter dash as a junior.
In joining a wide receiver’s room featuring Jordan Addison, Jared Wayne, Konata Mumpfield, Nwabuko is another young wideout who will compete to make an early impact in Pitt’s 2022 offense.
Ryland Gandy is also rated a 4 Star player by ESPN:
