Pitt Offers 2023 NY Power Forward Brandon Williams

Published

on

On Thursday, one of the top power forward prospects in the northeast, Brandon Williams of Christ the King (NY), told Pittsburgh Sports Now that he received an offer from Pitt.

Williams is a 6-foot-8, 220-pound four man out of Middle Village, New York who plays his travel ball for PSA Cardinals. The junior holds offers from Creighton, Illinois, LSU, Seton Hall, Oklahoma State, TCU, USC, and others, and now adds Pitt to that list.

According to 247 Sports’ Rankings, Williams is a three-star prospect ranked among the top 150 in the nation at No. 146. He has excellent footwork and touch around the rim, and can extend the floor all the way out to the three-point line with a smooth jumper.

Days after arranging a visit with 2023 power forward Sultan Adewale, the Panthers are now targeting another power forward in the same junior class.

Current four man Mo Gueye is in his last year of eligibility for the Panthers. As for the 2023 class, the program already has one commitment in Marlon Barnes out of Cleveland.

2023 would be 6 years with THIS STAFF,(if they don’t de-commit like previous commitsHOOD being number one concern) produced pretty much no talent so far. Like the hire initially but so far no results. Wake just showed you it can be done in less than 2. 4 former head coaches but no recruits or results.( same as they did previously, VERY FRUSTRATING, we are BAD!

And before this year, Wake has had 2 winning seasons in the last 12 years. Including being 6-16 just last year. Easier than ever to do a complete rebuild these days, what with the Transfer Portal and immediate eligibility. But not for Capel & clowns.
