Before the upcoming release of the Pittsburgh Sports Now Die-Hards Recruiting Boards, PSN will be previewing the top targets, the players who Pitt has been reaching out to most often as of late.
The list starts off with Jaylen Curry, a 2023 guard out of North Carolina.
Curry is a 6-foot point guard out of Julius L. Chambers High School in North Carolina, who holds an offer from Pitt already. Curry visited Pitt last June, and has been a priority target for Jeff and Jason Capel since. Curry told Pittsburgh Sports Now within the past two weeks that he hears from at least one of the Capels ‘every day.’
Curry is ranked as the No. 58 player in the nation according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, as well as a four-star prospect. He also holds offers from Florida State, Ole Miss, and more, and is one of the top-rated players in North Carolina.
After his visit to Pitt, Curry caught up with PSN to break down the trip.
“The facilities were very nice, and I liked the uniforms,” he said. “They’ve got some very cool uniforms, for sure. Their plans are for me to come in and play how I play, and do what Coach Capel wants me to do: win. He could see me winning in their program, and they are hoping to win titles.”
With any luck Capel won’t be here in 2023.
Nor will Jaulen Curry.
The same can be said for this site.
