Jeff Capel, Pitt Honor Mike Krzyzewski Before Pitt-Duke Game

PITTSBURGH — Ahead of Tuesday night’s Pitt game against Duke, the Panthers honored legendary Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski with a tribute video as well as a gift of a steel statue in the shape of a fist.

Earlier in the season, Krzyzewski announced that he would be retiring after the conclusion of this season. Krzyzewski coached Pitt head coach Jeff Capel from 1993-97 when he played for Duke, and also coached alongside Capel on Duke’s staff from 2011-18.
