PITTSBURGH — On Friday, Pittsburgh mayor Ed Gainey declared March 4 “Aaron Donald Day” in the city of Pittsburgh during a presentation downtown.

Pittsburgh Sports Now was in attendance as the honor was given to Donald, who was accompanied by multiple members of his family.

Donald, a Penn Hills and Pitt alumnus, recently won his first Super Bowl ring, leading the LA Rams to victory in his eighth NFL season. Donald has been named First Team-All Pro seven straight times, and has earned Defensive Player of the Year honors three separate times.

Donald played four seasons at Pitt, and was drafted by the St.Louis Rams with the 13th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. In his illustrious career, he has racked up 98 sacks, 285 tackles, and 23 forced fumbles in 127 games.
