Belle Vernon 2024 Athlete Quinton Martin Named Rivals 4-Star Recruit

Not since the days of Jeannette’s Terrelle Pryor has a WPIAL high school football recruit rated as highly national as Quinton Martin.

Rivals.com came out with their 2024 national rankings on Tuesday and not only have they named Martin a 4-star recruit but have him as one of the Top 20 sophomores in the country.

The 6’3″, 180-pound athlete from Belle Vernon High School was given a 6.0 Rivals Ratings, which is close to being a 5-star recruit and have him rated as the No. 12 overall player in the Class of 2024.

Back in November, Pat Narduzzi and Pitt were the first program to extend Martin a D-1 offer and since then, he’s picked ones up from Penn State, Boston College, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Syracuse, Texas, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

The WPIAL now has three players in the Class of 2024 with 4-star ratings: Martin, Aliquippa linebacker Cameron Lindsey and Central Catholic linebacker Anthony Speca.

Martin becomes the highest rated WPIAL recruit since Pryor back in 2008, when Rivals had him as the No. 1 overall player in the country.
