Report: Pitt to Scout Diaz-Graham Twins

Published

on

The Pitt coaching staff will be out today at the National Prep Championship Tournament in Connecticut scouting twin brothers.

Per a report from basketball recruiting insider Andrew Slater, Pitt will be watching twin brothers Jorge and Guillermo Diaz-Graham.

Jorge is 6-foot-10, three-star power forward, while Guillermo is a 7-foot, four-star center. The brothers moved to the United States from Spain and currently play at IMG Academy.

On3Sports.com ranks Guillermo as the No. 68 player and Jorge the No. 143 players in the Class of 2022.

In an interview with Pro Insight, the two brothers spoke of how originally they were in the class of 2021, but because of the pandemic causing international recruiting to decrease over the past few years, they felt that they would be better off taking a prep year. They also included in the interview that they pride themselves on shooting and playmaking, and that they have improved greatly in those aspects due to the facilities at IMG Academy.

Pitt assistant Tim O’Toole is expected to be in attendance scouting the brothers amongst other talented Prep recruits.

These guys can shoot and have a good feel for the game They need to put on some weight, this is the ACC, but anything is better than whats there now. There are at least 5 to 6 players that are wasted scholarships.

Another Capel tease. Drop some big-time later names offer them a scholarship, maybe even get them to visit the campus. Then two weeks later these 4* recruits sign with another school. Capel has pulled this trick every year on the A.D. because she is afraid to fire another B.B. coach so quickly. Fool me once shame on me, fool me three times fire me.
