Pitt Basketball To Play in 2022 Legends Classic in Brooklyn

Next season, Pitt will be returning to Brooklyn to play in the 2022 Legends Classic, alongside Arizona State, Michigan, and VCU.

Pitt has played in four Legends Classic events, with its most recent appearance coming in 2017. The Panthers also won the event in 2008 and 2013. The Panthers will share the court with the Wolverines, Rams, and Sun Devils, coached by Juwan Howard, Mike Rhoades, and Bobby Hurley, respectively.

“We are thrilled to bring the Legends Classic back to Barclays Center,” Gazelle Group president Rick Giles said in a release. “The pandemic caused a lot of shuffling of events the last two years, but the Legends Classic is back with a field that will bring excitement to Brooklyn.”
