Pat Narduzzi and his program are hoping to make a good impression later this week with a talented wide receiver from Florida.
2023 3-star wide receiver Darren Lawrence from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he will be making an unofficial visit to Pitt on Thursday (March 17).
Lawrence gave a verbal commitment to the Florida Gators in September but then decommitted in January after not hearing much from new head coach Billy Napier. The new Florida staff has been working hard lately trying to get Lawrence back as a commitment and hosted him a couple of weeks ago on a visit.

Along with Pitt and Florida, Lawrence (6’2″, 180-pounds) holds offers from Colorado, Florida State, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Missouri, South Florida, Tennessee, Central Florida and West Virginia.
This past season, Lawrence caught 54 passes for 783 yards and scored 16 receiving touchdowns.
