The Pitt Panthers will be getting a visit from a rising prospect from the state of Missouri.
Class of 2023 three-star tight end Zack Ortwerth will make an unofficial visit to Pitt on Tuesday. Ortwerth (6-foot-5, 220 pounds) attends Saint Louis University High in Saint Louis, Missouri. Along with Pitt, Ortwerth holds offers from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Louisville, Memphis, Purdue, West Virginia and Eastern Michigan. Ortwerth received his Pitt offer back on February 16th from Charlie Partridge.
This visit to Pitt will be the start of a busy month for Ortwerth as he’s also scheduled visits to Michigan State (March 17), Michigan (March 18), Minnesota (March 25), Iowa (March 26) and Illinois (March 31).
Not only does Ortwerth excel on the football field but he’s also going to be a four-star starter for this high school basketball team.
The offers for Ortwerth will continue to pour in because he’s a relatively new name in college recruiting since last season was his first full season playing football.
