Four Pitt Basketball Players Honored on All-ACC Academic Team

Published

on

On Tuesday, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced that four Pitt men’s basketball athletes were named to the ACC All-Academic Team.

Pitt’s Femi Odukale, William Jeffress, Jamarius Burton, and Onye Ezeakudo we’re all named to the team. Jeffress and Odukale were both honored for the second time in their careers, as the other two debuted on the list this year.

Odukale and Jeffress both studied in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, while Burton studied communications in the College of General Studies and Ezeakudo studied Bioengineering in the Swanson School of Engineering.

Ezeakudo was the only player on the list that studied Engineering.

Since the end of the season, both Odukale and Ezeakudo have entered the transfer portal, while Jeffress and Burton are slated to return to the team for next season. Ezeakudo will be graduating from Pitt this Spring, and is weighing options in both basketball and the workplace for his future.
