Kenny Pickett Won’t Be in Vegas for the NFL Draft

Ever since Pitt’s ACC Championship win over Wake Forest in December, Kenny Pickett has been preparing for the stage chapter of his football career.

It’s not a matter of if, but which NFL franchise will be selecting Pickett as their future quarterback.

While that’s still undetermined, we do know that Pickett should find out that answer two weeks from tomorrow as the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft begins in Las Vegas.

When Pickett eventually gets that call from an NFL franchise, he’ll be living out his childhood dream from his home.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that Pickett has decided to pass up the opportunity to be in Las Vegas and will instead watch the NFL Draft with his family and fiancé in his hometown of New Jersey.

The NFL is expected to announce on Thursday which players will be live in Vegas for the festivities at the 2022 Draft.

It remains to be seen which quarterback will get selected first: Pickett, Liberty’s Malik Willis, Cincinnati’s Desmond Ridder, North Carolina’s Sam Howell or Mississippi’s Matt Corral.
