Former Aliquippa Standout Zuriah Fisher To Miss Penn State 2022 Season

Former Aliquippa and current Penn State sophomore defensive end Zuriah Fisher will miss the 2022 season due to an injury that he suffered in spring practice earlier in the week. According to Lions247’s Sean Fitz, the team was not specific to the extent of Fisher’s injury.

Fisher is a 6-3, 260-pound defensive end that was a four-star recruit in the class of 2020. He was slated to have more playing time with the departures of Jessie Luketa and Arnold Ebiketie.

Fisher appeared in eight games last season and recorded four tackles, but had two tackles in the Outback Bowl as Luketa and Ebiketie opted out of the game. He was competing for snaps with Adisa Issac, Nick Tarburton, Amith Vilbert, Amin Vanover, and 2022 five-star recruit Dani Dennis-Sutton. Fisher was an Academic Al-Big Ten Selection in 2021.

Fisher came into the Nittany Lions program as a linebacker in 2020 only appearing in the season finale, making the switch to defensive end last season. Penn State softened the blow by adding former Maryland defensive end Dameioun Robinson from the transfer portal earlier this week.
