Former Pitt Safety Paris Ford Still Inactive for USFL’s New Jersey Generals

Paris Ford will have to wait another week before potentially making his USFL debut.

The former Pitt safety remained on the inactive roster along with linebacker Timothy Walton and tight end Nick Truesdell for the New Jersey Generals. The team did not release the reason for Ford being listed as inactive. He also did not play in New Jersey’s first game of the season.

A Steel Valley alum, Ford played at Pitt from 2017 to 2020 before declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft after his redshirt-junior season.

He signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent but did not make the team. Ford was selected in the fourth round of the USFL Supplemental Draft on March 10.

New Jersey defeated the Michigan Panthers for its first win of the season Friday night.

The Generals have eight games remaining of the USFL’s 10-game schedule and more opportunities for Ford to crack the lineup in the revamped league.

Looks like this guy got some really bad career advice.

He was great to watch at Pitt. But leaving early , DURING the season was no bueno.

What is wrong with you people. Sitting here on your phone or computer have a good ole time discussing this KID’S life. How dear you all. None of you know what he has been through but you clowns were so happy to cheer jump around when he made plays on the field. Some of you people find joy in someone else’s misery. How many of you clowns even sniffed division 1 football? Go back to your dead end 9-5’s and your miserable marriages. Your only defense is this article had no purpose other than to drag the rats from the… Read more »
