Source: Two More Players Could Be Getting Poached from Pitt Football Program

Published

on

The shocking news with Jordan Addison might not be the last piece of bad news that the Pitt football team receives.

A source tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that two starters on Pitt’s defense have been approached with an NIL opportunity and are both seriously considering accepting it. PSN has not confirmed the names, but we are being told that one player is a defensive end and the other is a member of the secondary.

At this point, it’s not fair to start speculating with names but it’s not to hard to come up with a couple members of Pitt’s defense that some major programs would want to go after.

PSN is working to learn more about this potential loss and more about the national news of Jordan Addison expected to be leaving Pitt for USC after receiving a lucrative NIL deal from the Trojans.

I knew life after Pickett would be bad but this is beyond worse case scenario, and one a week ago I wouldn’t even think was possible. Get ready for empty stadium and 4 wins. I’m not a big Duzz fan, and even with his extension he’s gotta be looking to move to a bigger conference/job. A few teams every year will compete (Bama, UGA, OSU, etc.) and the others (Pitt, etc.) will just be farm teams to develop players that will then move on to plug spots for the big programs. What a joke

A lot of honest people were deceived about NIL, but the Cheats were licking their chops. And now those cheaters don’t even have to hide their activities.
The NCAA should take action, but how do you put the genie back in the bottle?

almost impossible….NCAA never get’s anything right and it’s now a legal issue but it seems like a salary cap is needed. You get only so much NIL money to spend per season (and if one player eats it all up then it will certainly hurt depth)

You mean a lot of stupid people were deceived about NIL, self-deceived mostly because they wanted to be.

A lot of the rest of us tried to warn them what it was actually going to be like, but they didn’t want to hear it…..so I don’t have a whole lot of sympathy.

This is also an impact of not enough defensive players being drafted on first two days. The best players could be looking around going, if i stay maybe i am only a day 3 draftee, but if i go to SEC i am a day 1-2 pick

College football, as we know it, is being destroyed by greed.

So now the majority of college programs are just farm systems for the rich schools. NCAA is a joke. Everyone knows it. Break the rules nothing will happen. Rich will get richer. College sports is completely destroyed and has turned into a joke. Same teams every year and we all tune in like it’s history in the making. I feel sorry for Pitt and hope this doesn’t ruin the locker room or encourage more to leave.

Message to college football fans…F.U.
Fans are the reason this can happen. Only a grassroots boycott will stop this. Attendance, TV money etc
