Top 2023 Pennsylvania Recruit Rodney Gallagher Announces Official Visit Schedule

Published

on

2023 four-star athlete Rodney Gallagher announced his Top 8 last week, including Pitt, Texas, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Oregon, Penn State and Oklahoma State, and now he’s announced four official visits.

West Virginia (June 3-5), Notre Dame (June 10-12), Oklahoma State (June 13-15) and Penn State (June 13-15) will all host Gallagher on official visits, looking for one final opportunity to sway the top-ranked recruit in Pennsylvania.

With four official visits scheduled, Gallagher doesn’t need to schedule a fifth, but he does have the option to add one additional school to his schedule.

Gallagher (6-foot, 170 pounds) has been busy in the last month, attending spring games and making unofficial visits. He’s made it out to Penn State (twice), Pitt, West Virginia, Ohio State, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame since the beginning of April.

247Sports rates Gallagher as the 97th-ranked recruit in the class, (the 10th-ranked athlete and the second-ranked recruit in Pennsylvania) while Rivals rates him as the 106th-ranked recruit in the class (the 18th-ranked wide receiver and the top-ranked recruit in Pennsylvania).

While Pitt wasn’t included in Gallagher’s schedule of official visits, he did make a trip out to Pittsburgh in April, and Cory Sander ventured down to Laurel Highlands to make another visit to his native Uniontown, Pennsylvania. And Gallagher could still add one more official.

Gallagher will likely make his decision on where he will commit sometime this summer, after his official visits in June.

He’s had a few unofficials at PITT…I’d be more worried about Notre Dame or the wideouts Ohio State puts in the NFL. I’ve heard he’s PSU bound but you never know with these kids. Oklahoma State in interesting…They’ve always had a ton of T. Boone Pickens money so that might be the biggest NIL he will get.

Don’t even have official visits just meet with NIL office and see who has the biggest annual payout. That is where CFB is headed.
