Pitt Target Akok Akok Commits to Georgetown

Published

on

On Monday evening, former Connecticut forward Akok Akok announced that he has committed to Georgetown, just days after visiting Pitt.

Akok chose the Hoyas over Pitt and West Virginia, while also receiving a bit of interest from Ohio State in the last week. The 6-foot-9 forward had Pitt on his radar both out of high school and in the portal years later. He took an official visit to Pitt near the end of last week, and shortly after chose the Hoyas.

The Panthers have landed two forwards so far this offseason, earning commitments from JuCo prospect Fede Federiko and transfer Blake Hinson out of Iowa State. Pitt has also added Nelly Cummings, a Pittsburgh native who played for Colgate for the past three seasons. Pitt still has five scholarships remaining, and the power forward position is certainly an important spot to fill.

Yet another loss for the ACC’s worst coach. This program is an embarrassment. The clown can’t even sign retreads

Didn’t really matter….that kind of talent wouldn’t get Pitt out the basement, just ensure we had a few stiffs to sub.

Where is the guy who was talking sh** on my “scrape scrape” characterization now? Pretty quiet on the fanboy apologist front.

Instead of putting money into his $15 million buyout that didn’t happen, boosters couldn’t have used some of that money to get some decent transfers?
