Pitt is a finalist for a defensive back from the state of Georgia.
2023 3-star cornerback Shelton Lewis has narrowed his list of offers down to five teams and it includes the Pitt Panthers.
The 5’11”, 180-pound cornerback from Stockbridge, Georgia has announced a Top Five of: Pitt, Arkansas, Boston College, North Carolina and Vanderbilt.
Lewis previously announced that he would be making an official visit to Pitt on June 2-4. This follows an unofficial visit that he made to Pitt in April
Archie Collins and Pitt were the first D-1 offer for Lewis back in March of 2021.
Pitt has landed in the finalist tier for a couple of 2023 recruits over the last few weeks, including: three-star tight end Vance Bolyard (Greensboro, North Carolina), three-star defensive end Kamari Burns (Columbus, Ohio), three-star cornerback Jermaine Mathews (Cincinnati, Ohio), four-star defensive end Desmond Umeozulu (Upper Marlboro, Md.), four-star offensive lineman Amir Herring (West Bloomfield, Mi.), four-star defensive end Dashawn Womack (Baltimore, Md.) and, 3-star defensive lineman Isaiah Neal and three-star offensive lineman Jordan Church.
