Report: Jordan Addison Working Out with Alabama QB Bryce Young

Published

on

Now that he’s essentially a free agent, wide receiver Jordan Addison is free to speak and negotiate with any team that has interest in him.

Since the story about him leaving Pitt first circulated on Friday night, USC has been the school most talked about for his services but the top football program in the country could be getting involved.

According to a report by The Athletic, Addison is currently in California working out with Alabama Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Bryce Young. It should be pointed out that Young is from California and returned there following Alabama spring practice.

Nick Saban’s program is looking to replace recent NFL Draft selections Jameson Williams and John Metchie, along with a couple other wide receivers that left via the transfer portal. Alabama has already signed Georgia transfer wide receiver Jermaine Burton.

Other programs that are being mentioned as ones that could contact Addison are Texas and Tennessee. The obvious connection to Texas is former Pitt wide receivers coach Brennan Marion.

Last season, the Biletnikoff Award winner was Kenny Pickett’s top option as he caught 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Can’t wait to see how much their boosters will pony up. If this happened to them, they’d probably put a hit out on Lincoln Riley.

I thought this guy was gone.

If he’s not a part of the Pitt team why is he continuing to be discussed?

Will there be continued updates on his game stats when the season begins?

Sure sounds like smokescreen BS in order to get USC/Riley out of hot water for pursuing Addison pre-transfer protocol registration.

Ruined his legacy… college football has reached the tipping point for a minor league system very sad. I also don’t want to hear this B.S. about let them get paid blah blah blah the deal he was reported offered was more than a second round pick would receive.. anyone agrees with the argument that this is good you are flat out crazy. Hopefully PITT doesn’t turn into the Pirates.

Yeah he will be remembered for leaving a team that barely made the top 15 to go play at one of the most storied programs in college football history.
