Until he eventually settles and signs with a new team, be prepared for daily news and rumors surrounding former Pitt wide receiver Jordan Addison.
New teams seem to be entering the picture every day and that is again the case on Thursday.
National recruiting analyst Mike Farrell from MikeFarrellSports.com and theportalreport.com has been on this story from the beginning and published an interesting story with tons of insider info this afternoon.

Addison is no longer considering Pitt due to the losses of Brennan Marion, Mark Whipple and Kenny Pickett.
Decision to leave Pitt wasn’t about NIL deal and more to do with coaches that will get him properly prepared for the NFL.
Decision won’t be quick and going to USC isn’t a done deal.
Addison attended Pitt spring practices to evaluate how he’d be coached this season and decided a new home was needed.
Addison’s top priority for his next team is playing with the best quarterback possible.

When ever someone says it is not about the NIL (Money) it is. That comment from him is a bold face lie to not look bad. He was having money discussions with USC regarding NIL and was not even in the transfer portal. Also, that is a slap in the face to Narduzzi, Underwood and Cignetti. The coaching is always better elsewhere when you have 2 million or so in your bank account. Just say your leaving for the money and do not disparage the coaches saying you are not being coached properly.
You can dispute the hiring of Cignetti all you want, but the 2 million dollars is why he left. I thought Cignetti won 10 games at Pitt back in 2009 as OC…I must be mistaken. Pitt will be 2-0 after WVU and Tennessee. I would say see you at Heinz field, but we both know you will not be there.
He’ll be hoping to get a seat in kitty cat stadium. Why do Niters come on Pitt websites without announcing their allegiance? When I questioned PS on JoePa on the Centre Daily Times, I always announced that I was a Pitt grad.
Jordan should probably tell his reps to shut down this pr campaign. The way this whole thing played out refutes all of their talking points about it just wanting to be better prepared for the NFL.

Underwood, in my opinion, is a better wide receiver coach than Marion will ever be. The Cignetti’s, all of them, do a pretty good job coaching football. The family is well respected.

Then follow the rules. Someone said “There are a dozen coaches out there who spit on the rules”. Riley and Kiffin top the list and apparently the Kentucky staff who started the bidding at $800k. If Duzz was such a poor judge of coaching talent, why can’t he keep an OC, or a wide receiver coach? $$$$$
Just to refresh your memory, Duzz’s 1st OC went back to the SEC to a middling team, Georgia, still there; his 2nd was paid the highest assistant salary by LSU and is now KP’s OC, his third wanted to operate a run first offense during KP’s first two years, got shown the door, last one doubled his salary going to Nebraska in the Big Ten. Bad track record if you ask me (said facetiously).

Addison’s not the most durable player. He was injured during his freshman season and was held out of multiple games. Expect he will be forced to play injured for $2M. And watch that 1st round draft choice disappear.

He may be working out with Bryce Young at Alabama, but he won’t be going there. It’s going to be playing time as well as the Quarterback situation. That’s why USC has been the front runner all along. Caleb Williams is better then young and that happens to be a close friend of his. USC should win his services at the end of it Lincoln Riley has produced Quarterbacks as well as Receivers for the NFL.

Would love to see this kid be humbled. Has nothing to do with the coaches at Pitt. I’d really like to see him go to Tennessee and watch him go across the middle against the teammates he left. Things have a way of coming full circle sometimes but my guess is he will be at Bama.

While I would applaud him for transferring for the money (because this would represent maturity for taking care of your family),this new development makes me wonder what his true intentions are. Coaching changes happen. When he arrived at Pitt, it was faith by both parties that he would succeed. Suddenly, he is a critic. Hard work got you here, and a coaching change shouldn’t stoo you if you’re really determined to be a professional. Just admit that you are after as much money as you can get. No one will think a any less of you.
