It’s decision day for 2023 4-star defensive tackle Devan Houston.
The highly rated defensive tackle from Saint James, Maryland is scheduled to make his college decision this afternoon on CBS HQ at 4 PM. Houston (6’5″, 270-pounds) announced on Friday that his finalists are: Pitt, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Rutgers and Wake Forest.

Despite being listed as a finalist, Pitt hasn’t actively recruited Houston lately and adding this position isn’t a high priority at this time for the Pitt staff.
I’m sure the Pitt program appreciates being mentioned as a finalist for such a talented player, but I’m sure they have no expectation of landing Houston and really haven’t attempted to do so.
Houston is ranked by 247 Sports as the No. 181 overall player in the country and the No. 3 player in the state of Maryland.
It’s believed for some time that Notre Dame is the clear-cut leader to land Houston.
