On Sunday, Robert Morris picked up another transfer portal commitment, adding former Winthrop guard Josh Corbin.

Corbin is a 6-foot-3 guard who spent three years at Winthrop, redshirting his first season and playing the next two. As a redshirt freshman in 2020-21, he averaged over six points per game in just 14 minutes per contest. This season for the Eagles, Corbin posted averages of 4.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. He started six games across those two seasons, and has over 50 appearances in his career.

In his career, Corbin is a 36% field-goal shooter, and 36% three-point shooter as well. In that 2020-21 campaign, he hit 47 of his 116 three-point attempts, a 41% mark.

Corbin is a native of Gahanna, Ohio, and played his high-school ball for Gahanna Lincoln HS. Out of high school, he held offers from Robert Morris, Duquesne, Kent State, James Madison, and Toledo, in addition to Winthrop.

The Colonials now have 12 scholarship players and will look to add one more ahead of next season. In addition to Corbin, the Colonials will welcome five other newcomers to the program, with Trey James, Ben Krystkowiak, TJ Wainwright, Jackson Last, and Steph Walker joining the team.
