Pitt FB Recruiting

June’s Official Visits Provide Pitt the Chance to Rack Up Commitments

Pitt football’s Class of 2023 currently has two members with the commitments of four-star wide receiver Zion Fowler and four-star quarterback Kenny Minchey but that number should change in the upcoming weeks.

June is a month that typically brings in commitments for Pat Narduzzi’s program because of recruits making their official visits to Pitt. Not only do the recruits decide that they want to commit to Pitt, but the program will also start accepting commitments from recruits once they visit and feel their commitment is solid.

Over the last few years, here is the number of commitments Pitt has received in May and June:

Class of 2022: 7 (Isaiah Montgomery, Che Nwabuko, Marquan Pope, Ryland Gandy, Addison Copeland, Jimmy Scott, Sam Vander Haar).

Class of 2021: 7 (Trey Andersen, Stephon Hall, Khalil Anderson, Noah Biglow, Malik Newton, Terrence Enos, Preston Lavant).

Class of 2020: 10 (Israel Abanikanda, Jordan Addison, Aydin Henningham, Jahvante Royal, Dayon Hayes, AJ Roberts, Hunter Sellers, Solomon DeShields, Emmanuel Belgrave, Bangally Kamara).

Class of 2019: 11 (Jason Collier, Kyi Wright, Bam Brima, Vincent Davis, Brandon George, Brandon Hill, Davis Beville, Deandre Jules, Bryce Nelms, Calijah Kancey, Leslie Smith).

With that being said, the Pitt coaches are gearing up for another busy month of June, with official visits starting the first weekend of June.

Earlier today, three-star offensive lineman Michael Crounse announced that he’s locked in an official visit to Pitt the weekend of June 16-18. Crounse becomes the 19th player to announce their intentions to make an official visit to Pitt in June.
