With the first weekend of official visitors in Pittsburgh this June, it’s already been a very highly productive weekend for the Pitt staff. And it only continues with a top cornerback target pledging himself to Pitt.

2023 three-star cornerback Brice Pollock from Shiloh High School in Snellville, Georgia has committed to Pitt, securing yet another top-ranked defensive back from Georgia in the class of 2023 — and the second behind three-star defensive back Shadarian Harrison (Lakeland, Florida).

“My main recruiter to this point has been Coach Manalac,” Pollock told PSN in March. “He’s a great guy and very funny. He first came to my school in January and came talk to me and later on ended up offering me. Then yesterday on the visit, Coach Collins and I talked a lot and developed a good relationship. We talked a lot, drew up plays on the board, I got to go into the position meetings with the corners, got to go to the practice. Him (Collins) and I had a good 1-on-1 talk, he’s a great guy.”

Pollock picked Pitt over offers from Michigan State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Alabama State, Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Army, Bethune-Cookman, Buffalo, Coastal Carolina, Colorado, Duke, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Liberty, Memphis, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Penn State, Tulane, UCF, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

Pollock racked up 58 tackles (35 solo), five tackles for loss, a sack, four interceptions and a team-high 12 passes defended as a junior at Shiloh.

247Sports rates Pollock as the 492nd-ranked recruit in the class (39th-ranked cornerback and the 38th-ranked recruit from Georgia) while On3 rates him as the 496th-ranked recruit in the class (49th-ranked cornerback and the 48th-ranked recruit from Georgia). Rivals rated him as the 54th-ranked cornerback and the 42nd ranked recruit from Georgia.

Pitt’s 2023 recruiting class includes four-star quarterback Kenny Minchey (Hendersonville, Tennessee) and four-star wide receiver Zion Fowler (Jersey City, New Jersey), and the class has added Harrison, Pollock, three-star wide receiver Kenny Johnson (York, Pennsylvania) and three-star defensive tackle Isaiah Neal (Baltimore Maryland), with two more yet to be announced.
