On Tuesday, Pitt basketball commit Dior Johnson re-signed a deal with WME Sports for his NIL representation, according to the agency’s Instagram page.
Johnson was signed with WME (William Morris Endeavor Entertainment) throughout his senior year of high school, in which he reportedly hauled in over $100,000 in deals throughout the year.
Dior Johnson Becomes Jeff Capel’s Highest-Ranked Recruit at Pitt
Johnson made waves earlier this week with his commitment to Pitt, after de-committing from Oregon late last week. The 6-foot-3 guard has his own clothing brand, Diorj.com, as well as multiple NIL deals with companies such as Spalding and more. He touts more than 500,000 Instagram followers and has become one of the top celebrities in the high school basketball world over the past few years.
He is currently ranked as the No. 7 point guard in the nation, and, at one point last year, was one of the top-ten prospects, regardless of position, in the nation.
Will be interesting to see how he fits into the concept of “team” given the number of high school teams he played for and the NIL endorsements he is already raking in.
True, but if Capel can figure out a way to tame the shrew, Johnson will be a beast. His game (watch video high-lights) is off the charts.
