Pitt 3-Star LB Target Jordan Bass Issues Statement on Recruitment

Jordan Bass is a player that’s been talked about in conjunction with the Pitt football program.

Since receiving five verbal commitments over the weekend, much speculation has centered around Bass being one of the remaining two unrevealed commitments.

Up until now, Bass has remained mostly quiet but tonight made a Twitter statement to update the status of his recruitment.

Bass (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) is a three-star athlete from Phoebus High School in Hampton, Virginia. Although he plays safety in high school, the Pitt staff is recruiting him as a linebacker. Bass is a player the Pitt staff is very high on and would love to land.

Aside from Pitt, Bass holds offers from Boston College, North Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Duke, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, Syracuse and Vanderbilt.

Bass has made official visits to Pitt and Virginia Tech.

It’s going to be very difficult in recruiting unless you have lots of 💰

Just so you understand, the billions of dollars in endowments that Pitt has are legally earmarked for “other purposes”. NIL moneys need to be generated by others means. Have you contributed?

What an unnecessary statement. The fact that he felt a need to post such a selfish rant makes me lose interest in him as a player and as a person. “please respect my decision” fool, you haven’t made a decision yet. You’re a normal recruit like all of the rest….

Honestly it just sounds like coaches are flooding him with calls and pressure. I respect how he handled this. If he was committed maybe he felt emotions played into his commitment. Rather he be honest so if he commits he is solid. If not good luck we move on. The guys we are recruiting at linebacker will work out great.

Look at this 3 star flexing like a 5*. Move on PITT, he seems like a commitment then a decommit when a bigger offer comes in.
