While making an official visit to Pitt, 2023 4-star defensive back Jaremiah Anglin made a major move in his recruiting process.
Anglin reduced his long list of offers down to just 8 schools. The 6’2″, 185-pound athlete from Lake Wales, Florida, announced a Top 8 of: Alabama, Florida State, Jackson State, Kentucky, Penn State, Pitt, Central Florida and Tennessee.

Angelin told Chad Simmons of On3 Recruiting, “This is me getting closer to the end of my recruitment. But as soon as I announced I was going to name a top eight, other colleges that hadn’t been recruiting me have been hitting me up lately. But I feel like these eight schools have been the most consistent with coming to see me, communicating with me, and making sure everything is going good. Right now, those are the top eight schools I’m going to be looking at.”
Of this top eight, the only three schools that Anglin hasn’t personally visited are: Alabama, Penn State and Jackson State but tells Simmons that he will visit those schools and is making plans to visit both Penn State and Alabama at some point next month.
Anglin arrived in Pittsburgh last night for his official visit to Pitt.

Interesting article in Courier-Journal web-site titled “Louisville’s interim AD Josh Heird plans new department devoted to getting athletes paid”. I was under the belief the Universities were not going to be directly involved in NIL.In the article the AD has a quote about working with Adidas “Quite frankly, we wish they could have rolled this program out a little bit sooner”. Perhaps he was not employed by U.Louisville when Adidas was giving out money that got Pitino in hot water other than his encounters… Read more »
NCAA permits “schools” to create NIL packages. I don’t know the details.
Good Pitt made the top 8, but is this really news.
I’d like to see a retrospective on how many of these “top 8”, “top 10”, “top 12” that Pitt makes, ever sign.
While I’d like these guy to come to Pitt, how much of this is just noise?
good clickbait and fills a story quota but no chance he comes to PITT
