Pitt Men’s Basketball Releases 2022-23 Non-Conference Schedule

Jeff Capel and the Pitt men’s basketball program released their non-conference schedule for the 2022-23 season.

“We have put together a strong non-conference schedule that will prepare us for Atlantic Coast Conference play,” said Capel. “The Backyard Brawl returns to Pittsburgh when we host West Virginia early in the season, the Legends Classic has an excellent field, and we will play road games at Northwestern and Vanderbilt. We are excited about our team and eager to get everyone on campus to build towards the 2022-23 season.”

The Panthers will open the season on November 7 against Tennessee Martin before being challenged against West Virginia and the field in the Legends Classic on November 16-17.

Before going on the road to take on Northwestern, Pitt will have three home contests against Alabama State, Farleigh Dickinson and William & Mary.

The non-conference portion of the season then concludes with a road game at Vanderbilt before two more matchups at The Pete against Sacred Heart and North Florida.

It’s also been announced that Pitt will play two exhibition games at home prior to the start of the non-conference schedule.

They are going to have to win at least 9 to have a legitimate shot at postseason. Don’t see it, even with the cupcakes and the bottom of the SEC, Big 12 and Big Ten on the schedule.

Why bother to play the games. We can just ask you to tell us if they have a chance to make the tournament

I agree with you E. a. Payne. We have no idea of what kind of talent these new players are going to bring to the table. I will say that I am very optimistic about Pitt this year as I feel they are going to be way more talented than last year.

“We have no idea what kind of talent these new players are going to bring to the table. Followed by “I feel that are going to be way more talented than last year.” Lol. Ok. Makes perfect sense

Or you can just spit your nonsense about a guy you’ve never seen play being the best guard in the ACC. So there’s that
