Pitt Offers North Carolina 2023 4-Star Guard Freddie Dilione

Published

on

On Friday night, Pitt head coach Jeff Capel extended an offer to 2023 guard Freddie Dilione out of Word of God (North Carolina).

The 6-foot-4 combo guard is ranked as the No. 89 player in the class of 2023, and as a four-star prospect. Pitt initially showed interest in Dilione last summer. In February, he told PSN that he was not hearing from Pitt anymore. However, now, after excelling in the spring and summer with Team Loaded, Dilione is back on Pitt’s radar.

Since April, Dilione has added offers from Texas, Virginia, Oklahoma, Indiana, Alabama, UConn, Rutgers, Maryland, and more. He is known as a high-level scorer with legitimate three-level scoring ability from the guard spot.

Dilione hails from the home of the Capel family, Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Pitt currently has two commitments in its 2023 class, with guard Carlton Carrington (MD) and wing Marlon Barnes (OH) verbally committed to the program.
