WPIAL 4-Star LB Ta’Mere Robinson Sets Commitment Time, Place

Published

on

WPIAL 2023 four-star edge rusher Ta’Mere Robinson has put Penn State in his final three alongside Miami and Virginia Tech.

Robinson plays for Brashear High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and will be announcing his commitment Friday at 6:15 p.m. at Homewood Field. That date has been set for almost a month now.

Robinson is a four-star recruit on all four major recruiting outlets; 247Sports, Rivals, On3 and ESPN. 247, Rivals and On3 are all predicting Robinson to choose Penn State.

Rivals has updated its rankings and now lists Robinson as the No. 1 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania for the class of 2023 while both On3 and 247Sports have him as the No. 3 recruit in Pennsylvania.

All three have him around the same spot nationally with On3 Consensus having him at 126, the highest ranking given to him, followed by 247 at 139 and Rivals at 140. He’s listed at 237 on ESPN 300.

Robinson has taken three official visits, one to each of his top three schools. His last official visit was taken to Penn State on June 17-19. He set his recruitment date the day his official visit ended.

Overall, Robinson has visited Penn State’s campus eight times with seven of those visits coming since June 5, 2021. Pitt is the only other college he has visited more than twice, taking five visits there but none of them being an official visit.

He wants to play football and go to school outside of Pittsburgh.
This is not uncommon.

PSU recruits great – when is it gonna translate to on-field success?

three 11 win seasons in 6 years in the Big Ten East. If they were in a JV conference like the ACC they would never lose a game. You won an ACC championship in a watered down year so let’s not bring up on-field success.
H2p!

Thank you for validating my assertion you are a PSU fan and are here trolling Pitt sites and fans. Why do you waste your time here? That is strange.

Because Pittsburgh Sports Now covers local athletes as we’ve done for the last 7 years.

Terry Smith at PSU is a great recruiter for their program of western PA athletes. He at one time was head coach at Gateway HS in Monroeville. He is a PSU alum as well.
.
Then you have Brent Pry the ex-DC at PSU. So it makes sense the young athlete is attracted to those Schools.

How is Pitt not even a consideration? Is it strictly NIL?

wants to get away. Might not want to play in front of 20k fans in the Steelers stadium as well.

He might want to be part of a cult and systemic crime and sexual assault, too.
