On Tuesday, class-of-2025 local prospect Alier Maluk received an offer from Auburn.

Maluk, a native of South Sudan who now resides in the Pittsburgh area, stands at 6-foot-10 and is entering his sophomore year of high school. He is ranked as the No. 23 prospect in the nation according to ESPN’s ESPN25 rankings. One of the top young players in the Pittsburgh-area, Maluk competed last season for Imani Christian in WPIAL Class 1A.

The stretch forward has a solid outside game in addition to his length and touch on the interior. He uses his long frame to excel on the glass, block shots, and elevate over defenders and finish inside. In addition to Auburn, Maluk also holds offers from Pitt, Texas A&M, Seton Hall, and LSU. Last fall, Kentucky head coach John Calipari visited Maluk at a practice, as did Pitt head coach Jeff Capel.
